The corridor
On the first floor of the school you will find these corridors with the cupboards or locker rooms where the students keep their books. It looks the same on each floor.
I'm exited about teaching health and pedagogics since these subjects are crucial in the society of today. It's important that the students learn how to take care of their own health in all aspects; physically, psychologically, emotionally and mentally, in order to be able to take good care of other people.
Many young people feel bad psychologically because of high pressure in school, too many choices to make, the stress of the media, unemployment, bad self confidence etc.
I believe it's important for the students to build up their self confidence which will make them stronger and more balanced. The teachers need to create good relations with the students, be present and empathetic with each student.

Hi
ReplyDeleteYou are in the paper today, very fun to read about you. This photo shows a beatiful school entrance. I I would like to have the same at my school.
Hi Lena, this corridor looks like it will take the students on a journey to their learning and I agree with you that the teacher has an important role in establishing a positive learning environment. I have classes with adult learners in community services and I hope that their learning in the course does build their confidence. We also teach the importance of self care to students.
ReplyDeleteHi dispirit40!
DeleteGreatings from up north :-) I´m so glad that you´re trying, as us, to make pupils more confedent and self caring. I also work with adults and find it so inspireing to work with when they realise how much they realy can!
Hi dispirit40! I'm pleased to know that you also teach the importance of self care to the students and I'm sure that it will build their confidence. :)
DeleteHi Mairone! Thank you, it was fun to make the interview. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree that it's a bright and inspiring corridor.

Hi Lena! I agree it´s very importent to educate not only children, (also adults) but to start there so that we in the future will have more balanced adults. Intresesting how "dispirit40" work with the same approach. Together we build a better wourld :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Kerstin! Yes, the earlier we start to educate the students in these important subjects the better! However it's never too late.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's why it's fun to blogg with people from all over the world - to connect and change the world! :)
Yes Lena, we have to excange experience, idéas and thoughts so we can develop how we "think" ..
DeleteYou talk a lot about how the teacher should be against the student. What is then important that the student will contribute for a good learning environment? Is this anything you talk to the students about?
ReplyDeleteHi Kerstin!
ReplyDeleteI believe that when the students learn about their own health in all aspects it will result in understanding other people/students in a better way, which includs mutual respect. To understand and respect each others differences is important in a good learning environment and I think it will also improve the co-operation between the students. I will talk to the students about this when I'll get the opportunity to do so.
